Good player this guy who was released by Canberra because the club couldn't fit him under the salary cap. Now he's back at Canberra, after playing nil matches in Japanese rugby.
How can Canberra afford him now, especially considering I thought the NRL had placed all contract negotiations on hold?
I know Canberra punted Leilua (sic) but they filled that void with Scott from Melbourne.
Anyone have an explanation?

Hard to imagine a player of his calibre being intent to rejoin the Raiders on a basic N R L contract and doubt that something definite can even be finalized with the current pay uncertainty . Doubt also that the N R L are formalizing or officially signing off on any new contracts right now in any case . No idea really how he can be accommodated there if he has rejoined them .
