What an absolute tragedy this bloke lost his battle this morning. Thoughts go to his wife and 3 young kids, 26 is far too young

Very sad news, my thoughts go out to his family.

Hopefully the RL community will help his wife & kids through this difficult period. IIRC the Men of League foundation was running some kind of appeal to help them?

He played 26 games for the broncos and cowboys around 07 or maybe 08, before getting hit with a rare type of leukemia. They had been trying to raise 500k to get him to America for special treatment

Pretty unfortunate that as it's getting coverage, poor bloke passes away 🙁 still head to footysocial.com.au to help with donations. His family are gonna need all the help they can get. RIP Sam 🙁

Another reason why the IC and a strong players union is crucial so they can assist players and their families in tragic circumstances such as these.

I must say I was very impressed with Ennis trying to raise money for him. I didn't realise Ennis had such a heart. I suppose just because he is a grub on the field doesn't necessarily mean he is a grub off it.
