We've got two extra wins on all those pretenders!!

Just seems so silly that they've got us Souths and Cows playing this weekend with 0 byes as other teams get a 2nd.

Positive note is we've got same runs on the board with the free ones yet to come and hopefully they are a refresher at the right time.

Much prefer 3 byes in the second half of the season than spread out TBH.

I'm not sure how the byes were worked out, but usually teams will request their preferred ones and then the NRL allocates from there.

I think over origin the best byes would be Rd 13 (so you can see who's in contention / playing to plan around it) and then Rd 19 or 20... Rd 19 means you only play one origin impacted game, whereas Rd 20 would give you a rest after the origin period and allow the team to reset heading into the back of the year.

There's 3 teams that get byes for Rd 13 and 19... panthers, storm and rorters... nothing suss there...

No teams get Rd 13 and Rd 20.

I think the best byes overall would be 13, 19 and then something in the back end of the year... no one has that lined up

Did they really though? The camera was on him initially then when it was obvious he was having a seizure it just focussed on the players. What should they do, swing the camera around fans in the crowd for 15 minutes?

Unless I'm wrong and there was close ups after it was obvious what was happening but I don't recall any.

My memory of it was they showed the ref reacting and then they showed him on the ground and he started seizing and then they cut away to focus on Ricky. After that, they stayed focused on Ricky for a long time until there were long shots of the players around him on or close up on other players.

And I think the shot of the players surrounding him was just one of those nice ones to show player solidarity... they didn't attempt to zoom in between the players, just wanted to capture them as a whole.

They had similar shots of the players around Eriksen in football when he had his cardiac issues on the field.
