Journey Man
Well, after last week we certainly came back to earth with a thud didn't we.
Its not like we can't play in the wet. We did beat NZ in Perth last year in the rain, though we did struggle to beat the Knights in the wet.
Anyhow.....
Tom Trbojevic 4/10 - Still has a lot of mistakes in his game. And for the love of God can Barrett please ban him from kicking the ball, especially close to the line. Made a good run though.....
Jorge Taufua 6/10 - Good runs, good defence, but didn't get a lot of opportunities.
Brad Parker 9/10 - We lost, but Brad didn't. Splendid defensive display against 1nglis or anyone other Vermin who came near him. Pity those around him didn't do half as well tonight.
Brian Kelly 5/10 - Didn't get a lot of opportunity tonight. Could have been better in defence.
Akuila Uate 2/10 - Very poor defensively tonight, back to the dumb winger defence. Didn't offer much in attack either.
Lachlan Croker 4/10 - Like Rd.1 he looked out of his depth (i.e. when we had some opposition, not like last week). Defence is still very good, but his kicking and passing game is a big step down in class from Green's.
Daly Cherry-Evans 3/10 - When he's good, he's very good. When he's bad.....he's very bad.
Addin Fonua-Blake 4/10 - Out muscled tonight, like almost everyone else in the pack.
Api Koroisau 4/10 - Defence was OK, but strangely tonight we actually looked better with Hastings.
Martin Taupau 4/10 - Not his best game. Out muscled by Sam Burgess.
Joel Thompson 5/10 - Defence was OK, but I am still trying to figure out what else he brings to the team because he hasn't really shown much in 3 games.
Curtis Sironen 5/10 - Tried hard enough. Wasn't our worst player.
Jake Trbojevic 6/10 - Nothing wrong with his defence as usual and he didn't stop trying. But was still a bit quiet.
Jackson Hastings 7/10 - Provided spark off the bench and scored our only try. I still think he should be our 5/8.
Shaun Lane 5/10 - Other than the knock on was actually still showing good form, especially in defence, until the HIA. We missed him in the 2nd half.
Lloyd Perrett 6/10 - Limited time but did nothing wrong when out there.
Kelepi Tanginoa 4/10 - Barely sighted really, but did take a couple of strong hit ups when he came on.
So far in 3 rounds we've seen the good, the bad and the ugly from Manly. Tonight was the ugly, lets hope its out of their system by the time the Raiders hit Brookie next week.
