Sack the Spoon

I seriously wonder if you people actually believe that Seibold tells his players what he tells us in the post-match press conference... It's so obviously a mechanism purely to take blame off the players. That's the point of it, and nothing more, especially in the new media age where no one cares what you say in a presser, unless you say something incredibly stupid. See AOB.

I sometimes wonder if some of the anti-Seibold people blame the weather on him. And if they also believe theres an infinite food source in Woolworths. Some of the comments here are absolutely moronic. Acting like he tells them to lose the game... Funnily enough, the same problems we've had since Foran 1.0 left, are the same problems we have now. No game management. No culling of other teams unless they hand it to us on a platter. A seeming ability to contend but it falls apart when scrutinised. There's two constants since 2015... But most of these critics don't seem to have object permanence, so I don't blame them. If they don't see Penn or DCE all the time, that must mean they don't exist anymore.

Like if I showed them a picture of a chubby, ugly rat that makes an annoying garbled high pitched sound, before and after every Manly loss, they would start blaming the rat for every loss. They look at the propaganda read out by dribblers like James Hooper and take it at face value. If you see something on TV, it must be true.

They also act like Bellamy is on the open market. He is never leaving the Storm. They act like Bennett is up for grabs. He hates Manly, and even if he wanted to, Des has won a comp more recently than him. Ivan Cleary can't win another comp without the first-class pathways players he once bad. He was sacked at Penrith the first time around.

The new coaches are no guarantee either. We went though the "NEW ERA COACH WILL BRING US BACK" when we sacked Tooves, and installed Twent. How'd that go?

Imagine if we did that today. Sacked Seibold, in the middle of a long-term club rebuild, with no terrible record, and brought in AOB. He comes out, and says more honest things in press conferences, like you people seemingly want, directly calling you out, and saying you're too stupid to understand rugby league. Would you prefer that?
Mate since Penn has taken ownership we have been a basket case…he is the owner and is responsible for putting the right people and players in place for success and he has failed to do so for 10 years

What happened to Seibolds structured and formulaic game plan when we capitulated against the Eels when DCE was on SOO duty ?
That's where it stood out to me @BOZO.
I've been a Seibold sympathiser but that game v Parra really opened my eyes.
The standard Turbo 4th tackle hit up and then the harmless non contested bombs to JAC which most pinned on Jake Arthur.
It was the same last night and in other games this year - even with a different halfback so something tells me it's not just a coincidence.

I'm starting to lose faith with Seibs, but every now and then we do something different and look like world beaters so there must be something there.

We have a couple of shiny flashy plays like the koula through the gap behind a decoy runner we used against panthers, but that’s hardly a strong foundation for sustained success across a single game, let alone a season. Completely overshadowed by the complete absence of game management or discernible defensive structures.

The last two sentences say it all. Spot on.

Sure does.

When a team goes from brilliant to awful and back again on a weekly basis, there is something deeply wrong with the processes and more concerningly the mindset. If Seibold can't find the answers to both, calls for his head will soon ring out across the peninsular.
