Sam Newman loves the NRL

Sam Newman isn't actually as bad as his media/public persona makes him out to be. He's actually a very intelligent and articulate person and a lot of what he says on television is done simply to generate controversy.

Did you know that Sam Newman once claimed the pole position for the Sandown 500 motor race? Yep, he did back in 2002 driving a Ferrari 360 Challenge. True story.

I like Sam. He calls it as he see's it. Refuses to kowtow to the PC brigade.

Big Sam fan here.

Anyone see him last night. He had the women on that streaked during Richmond’s last grand final appearance many years ago.

After asking several questions he said, just one final question ‘do you still have that ginger cat I could see when you run onto the MCG”.

To which she replied “it’s in Brazil now”
