What counts is not how our back line looks on paper but our back line efforts on the field
Because our 2018 backline efforts on the field truly WAS one of the worst defensive efforts in our history .
I cant remember a time our backline leaked so may points and the defensive capitulation was for all to see . One of our worst Manly seasons ever .

Apart from Tom we had no genuine pace . It was one of the slowest backline in our history .
Opposition backs were burning our players for pace and pushed them out of the way as if they were not there .
Defence was non existent under our submissive style coach Trent .
Official stats show Kelly missed a whopping 75 tackles and all his other backline mates were not far behind
Lets look at on field performance @Ryan before we can do a real assessment on our 2019 backline .
