HE was a Sea Eagles star but tonight Tony Williams returns to Brookvale as a marked man.

The 120kg man mountain they call “T Rex” poses a big threat his former teammates as a member of the powerful Bulldogs side in the blockbuster against Manly.

After struggling to find form in his first season and even being labelled the worst buy of the year at the Bulldogs in 2013. Williams earned recall to the NSW side for the first State of Origin game against Queensland.

Blues coach Laurie Daley recently said he believed that Williams has been in better form than he was when he made his Origin debut in 2012.

And he is now a member of the imposing Bulldogs pack that currently leads the competition for metres gained and completions.

NRL Stats reveal that in 10 games this season Williams has made 1162m and 68 hit ups.

The Sea Eagles forwards face one of their biggest challenges this season to contain Williams and co.

“They are a very structured side and play to their strengths which is their forward pack,” said Sea Eagles coach Geoff Toovey.

“They have a high completion rate and just wear you down.

“So we just need to match them in enthusiasm and hopefully at the end of the day we can win and if it’s by one point we don’t care,”

Toovey said that the two teams have had some close encounters over the past few years.

“So we are expecting- particularly with these conditions- it will be a tight match,” he said

Toovey also addressed questions about dissension in the playing squad.

“There have been a lot of rumours about certain players in the camp but I think you will find out any differences are worked out fairly quickly and that is what has happened around here,” he said.

“We have a great harmonious playing group and you can’t be successful like we have been over the last several years if you don’t have a harmonious team.

“I’m there to help that along but it is the players and the playing group that need to work that stuff out with a little help from the staff.”

Wonder how Williams feels knowing his Bulldogs planned to replace him with that Sharks forward?

t-rex's game plan of running at dce all night seemed to result in him being tackled by dce all night.

rex was probably relieved when dce went off injured!

Dessie would have wanted to punch something after that game.

Luckily T-rex was around so he could hit something soft.
