My youngest daughter tells me this morning that "some Eagle" "he scored lots of tries" was coming to her school today. As I live out in Buttfark Qld I assumed nervously surely not the greatest ever Sea Eagle would come here! Do I blow the day, do I go to work?? My chance to finally meet my RL alltime hero... (I go to work) Steve Menzies turns up at the school, for some NRL footy day something something... I am as crushed as a 4yr old finding out Santa isn't real!
But on behalf of the town/kids/ and normal people who met you Steve, thanks mate!!!

My forehead is getting sore from banging the wall, I did get this though!

Jeez four years old. I had some pretty big ding dong battles in yeah three with the non believers. That big fat red man was dropping gray Nicholls and shimano baitcasters in my sack before I knew. My parents did leave rain deer poo in the house though. Not sure what that was to this day but it kept my faith alive.

I remember being too much of a wuss to go meet Glenn Mcgrath once but my less star struck better half got him to sign his book for me.

My mother in law told her kids that Santa wasn't real as she thinks that kids wont survive the shock of their parents lying to them (I think she just wanted credit for buying the presents). Unfortunately that attitude has followed the next generation so if I ever decide to bring a munchkin into this world...it'll be a battle every Christmas v the cynical one.

Mr Menzies is all class! A shame you didn't get to meet him. I'm still kinda miffed I was close by when he and hindmarsh and fletch were in Canada and I didn't know it.

Scoring the signed footy is very cool. May I have it if you don't want it?
