Still in contention for wooden spoon?

Potentially lost our major playmaker for the season.
Our other playmaker can't seem to give an 80 min potent performance.
Haven't beaten a top team yet - remaining draw is tough.

I know eels and Titans have their own issues (probably worse than ours).

Just wondering what your thoughts on this is... and please, just need positive ones, can't bear anymore gloominess this morning..

I'm hoping that Lawrence and Leary are ready to play, and 2V now realises his dropping of Tom Turbo was as dumb a decision as continuing to select Hasson.
We are a better team than Newcastle, the Titans, the Eels and the Tigers and so I expect to finish higher than all of them.

Manly have an opportunity now to blood Tom T at fullback if DCE is out for the season, move Foran to half and snake to 5/8, problem with losing DCE is he is our main kicker in general play.

Yep let's move Stewart to 5/8. This will achieve 2 things - take our best player away from his specialist position & in doing so weaken it; fill a difficult 5/8 role with a bloke that has never played there before.

It's still a worry, but I think if we can jag a win in NZ this weekend we are nearly safe. We have a great record in NZ, but it depends which team goes over there.

Then of course we have Raiders, Eels and Sharks still to play. I would hope we would win 2 of those 3. But if we assume that's all we win....20 points......is that enough? It will be close.

Don't be silly the Who, it is better to bury your head in the sand and pretend that there is nothing wrong and blame the refs for our losses. That is why we are in the worst position in 10 years, has nothing to do with the players or coaching in any way.

Laugh away but there is zero chance of Snake playing 5/8. Hiku has played plenty of games at centre so Toovey obviously thinks that he adds value there. Better Hiku than Blair or Wiliame.

We're in danger of dropping off like last year but I don't think so as things have changed, due to Bozo's fiddling more than anything else. We are a better team than our ladder position has showed. Our extended poor results have come from the double stab of morale issues and key injuries but...

I'd rather follow a team aiming to make the 8 and finishes last; over a team playing to avoid a spoon who runs 7th or 8th. Some silvertails will disagree & that's ok. We've lost a couple of games badly this year which shows we don't have the complete package, but most of our losses were competitive and individual errors or wrong decisions have put us short of a win. I like exciting positive play with a reliance on teamwork. I think that's Manly and we can hold our heads high after most (not all) games this year.

Pass the Kool Aid please.

PS Hiku is a greater chance of playing 5/8th this year than Snake. Tooves has already played him there if I'm remembering rightly.

MY GOD ......................Dont even mention that name ....Blair ....very scary to ever think of him back , but someone needs to teach Hiku & Tafua how to catch a high ball ...seems the best way to beat us is just kick to them ...i know it was a wee damp but come on they are first grade players.
