The NRL lovefest with Scam is only ramping up. We still have his retirement year, followed by years of highlights, the renaming of the Dally M hooker of the year to the Scam Smith Medal.... and that's assuming he doesnt take up commentary ala Lockyer, Freddie or Johns.

Makes me sick thinking about it. Might go watch the 08 GF highlights to make myself feel better.

Geez he was even on the AFL footy show the other night when I watched it.

Why won't any of the journos ask him about his sickening display the day Alex McKinnon was injured.

It's a disgrace how the media refuse to talk about that one event yet a single incident proven false in a court of law defines Brett Stewarts legacy in many people's eyes.

The 'head in the sand' approach the Storm players took with all that playing talent swirling around them, has tarnished each & every one of them until the last of them moves on or retires. Silence is no defence for what appears before your eyes. For that reason alone Smith cannot be an made an Immortal. How much of his record was supported & facilitated by an illegal playing roster? Joey Johns has a stain hanging over his Immortal status & Smith would be no different.

Look at his performance with the RLPA. This guy has the arrogance & hide of a politician which is probably where he will finish up. He was never really held to full public account over his appalling insensitivity to Alex McKinnon's dilemma. I thought he left an ugly stain on the image of our game with his callous indifference.
