It's only early days but I was wondering what most people think our strongest team would be with everybody fit?

Name your 1-17.

1 Brett Stewart
2 William Hopoate
3 Jamie Lyon
4 Steve Matai
5 David Williams
6 Keiran Foran
7 Daly Cherry-Evans
8 Jason King
9 Matt Ballin
10 Brent Kite
11 Anthony Watmough
12 Shane Rodney
13 Glenn Stewart

14 Terrance Seu Seu
15 Joe Gulavao
16 George Rose
17 James Cunningham

Interesting, big call leaving Robbo out and picking Cunningham who hasn't made his NRL debut yet.

Hopoate has to be there.
Lyon has to be there.
Matai has to be there.
Wolfman > Robbo.

Zero fail noob.

1 Brett Stewart
2 Michael Robertson
3 Jamie Lyon
4 Will Hopoate
5 David Williams
6 Keiran Foran
7 Daly Cherry-Evans
8 Jason King
9 Matt Ballin
10 Brent Kite
11 Anthony Watmough
12 Steve Matai
13 Glenn Stewart

14 Jamie Buhrer
15 Joe Gulavao
16 George Rose
17 Shane Rodney

I don't mind this side, assuming Buhrer or Rodney can fill in at hooker if needed.

1- Snake
2- Oldfield
3- Lyon
4- Hoppa
5- Wolf
6- Foran
7- DCE
8- Kite
9- Ballin
10- King
11- Big Joe
12- Choc
13- G Stewart

14- Matai - Believe he can work into backrow or in the 3/4
15- Buhrer - workhorse with good speed & vision
16-Seu Seu - Hopefully add spark at dummy half.....
17- T Rex - Impact as a foward ONLY

Unlucky =
Rose still underdone atm - caught out easy by sharp attack in D - potential starter if he was fit - imo as good as our other frontrowers.

Lussick could be a star - before long will make top 17 - most likely fill Joes spot & at very least will keep others looking over their shoulders if fit in 2011.

Interesting bench with no props.

1. B.Stewart
2. M.Robertson
3. S.Matai
4. J.Lyon
5. D.Williams
6. K.Foran
7. D.Cherry-Evans
8. J.King
9. M.Ballin
10. B.Kite
11. A.Watmough
12. S.Rodney
13. G.Stewart

14. J.Gulavao
15. J.Buhrer
16. G.Rose
17. T.Williams

18. W.Hopoate

Wanted to add another prop on the bench but couldn't justify dropping any of the players I ended up picking to include one. Nood or T-Rex could fill in where needed though.

Couldn't find a spot for Hoppa or Oldfield but can't help but feel that the two of them may be well served by a year of sporadic first grade appearances whilst spending the rest of the year in NSW cup.

1. Stewart
2. Robertson
3. Matai
4. Lyon
5. Wolfman
6. Foran
7. DCE
8. King
9. Ballin
10. Kite
11. Watmough
12. Joe (or rodney if he gets back to some good form)
13. Stewart

14. Buhrer
15. Rose
16. Mauro
17. Trex/seu seu/robinson

then uve got people like oldfield, whare and hoppa to cover 1-5
riccardi and even lyon in the halves
robinson, harrison, lussick, cunningham or whoever else is in form as forwards

not the terrible side many believed just a few weeks ago ..

The great news for me is that if we stay injury and suspension free after this weekend coming we will have all players available except for Shane Rodney, who might struggle to crack the side now anyway. I would go with:

1. Snake
2. Robbo
3. Jamie
4. Matai
5. Wolfie
6. Foran
7. DCE
8. Kingy
9. Ballin
10. Kitey
11. Choc
12. Joe G (He's playing well)
13. Glenn
14. Rose
15. Buhrer
16. T-Rex
17. Robinson / Mauro

We need a rotation of 2 props on the bench, so no Seu Seu. I believe Buhrer could be a very good utility. Hoppa back to have a rest for a week or two while we see how T-Rex functions as an impact player.

Loans of depth in the club now. I just would like one more big prop.

These are imo the strongest 17 - does it matter in the modern game who packs into a scrum - 3/4 pack into scrums & back rowers defend outside the 1/2 in most. Did either of you realise Petro the Aussie front rower was a winger - didn't think so - look at the bench again & think mobility - if you can....

1.Stewart
2.Robertson
3.Matai
4.Lyon
5.Williams
6.Foran
7.DCE

9.Ballin
10.Kite

12.Galuvou

14.Williams
15.Buhrer
15.Rose
17.Rodney

Believe it or not but props actually do more than stand in the front row of a scrum.

Maybe the Panthers are using him on the wing again?  Would explain their results this season...

Lol,dont pick on him he hasnt got brains

He has got no brains or does not have a brain is probably what your trying to imply - nice try though - haha.
Its all just opinion - Add Joe into the rotation & theres a 3rd or 4th frontrower anyway.
