My apologies if this has already been covered in another thread (I haven't checked every post in the comments since the game) - I'm happy to delete or have it merged....but:

A crowd of only 12,000??

Our last game at Brooky for the year; farewell to some great servants of the club; a highly sought after SUNDAY ARVO game which (I think) was brought home from BT stadium.

Fair enough it was a dead rubber, there were a couple of drops of rain an hour before the game but where was everyone!?

Money is tight at the moment. Two home games inside a week, plus the finals coming up. People are going to pick and chose.

You are preaching to the converted here. I go to every Brookie game, and I'm sure most of the Sydney-based posters on here do likewise. As I said in another post, there were only about 100 'Riff supporters at the ground.
The week before we had 17,000 (felt like 19,000 to me) so obviously the importance of the contest sways 5,000 or so less fanatical Manly supporters.
The match with the 'Riff was the LIGOTY in terms of a result. What made it more important was the debuts of two local Manly young-guns and it being the last game at Brookie for three of our stalwarts.
I think we have to face it that there are around 12,000 rusted-on Manly-Brookie supporters, but a hell of a lot more who make an effort for the big matches.

Yes probably, but not near as exciting.

Indeed, especially for the kids after the game when they get to run onto Brookie Oval & emulate their heroes!! :D

I find it hard to believe that the Titans had a higher crowd average than us! Clubs like Roosters are notorious for counting people people twice.

It's easier and cheaper to stay home and watch dirty movies as well, but it just isn't quite the same as picking up...

Probably safer though! And 100% guaranteed success rate too!

well what did the club expect, having two home games in a row, there was obviously people at the Melbourne match who hid in the toilets to get free entry for the second week :p:p:p:D:D

*Thank you to Bartholomew aka Bones (I think) for the above lines

It depends on when you play and who your home games are against to get a real gauge on crowds I reckon.

I was really surprised at the crowd to. I'd been looking forward to the game for weeks. Heading to the ground I thought, traffic and parking would be difficult and we'd struggle to find a seat.
Not the case but the guys on the hill were terrific as usual. At 1 point they were cheering Big George and he made the "push it up" action, nice to see.

Who wants to pay to watch us have our tummies tickled.

What's everyone's crowd predictions for this Sunday afternoon at Brookie? Will many Parra fans travel??

I predict 13,680.

Think this one is highly weather dependent.
If brilliant sunny afternoon, then 14,522, but if showery & grey then: 12,522.
