Matabele
Journey Man
This is something Manly should be very proud about, and it is to the media's shame that it is not highlighted more often.
MANLY may always be the most hated team in the NRL - but not because of the way their players behave in public.
The Sea Eagles boast the cleanest rapsheet in 2008 thanks largely to the the efforts of icon Steve Menzies, coach Des Hasler, minder Dave Millward and the players themselves. Like on the first weekend of the playoffs when both they and Brisbane enjoyed emphatic wins on home soil.
But while the Broncos geared up for their now infamous bender, the beach boys simply completed responsibilities at Manly Leagues and then disappeared. Where? To a private unit organised by the club so players and their dads could spend a night playing cards and enjoying a few beers.
