Strong bench.

Heather will kick bombs & to our corners long & often especially early on so hopefully Farrar copes & T-Rex brings it back with vigour.

Not unhappy about Bailey named in the 6 either. Im sure Des has a plan about positional backup for later on in the year.

Its also about time Choc slipped into full gear & flattened Thaiday. Thatd stuff em.

Probably the first time we have had all our forwards on deck - we'll have to dominate here as we are missing at least 4 and possibly five of our preferred backs.

I wasn't confident about this game at all until I read their team

My pick is that Foran will defend in the centres and attack from 5/8, much like he did last season with Lyon

ahhhh remember that 26 all draw at brookie with Terry Hill do something awesome down the right edge.... :'( (tears of joy)

Manly by 8 in an execution of Structured football at its best.... Would like to see the Hodko/Watmough combo develop a bit more too.

I was at that game Nate (I make very few but was there that day), to me one of the greatest ever Manly moments I have sen live, the crowd went absolutly NUTS.

I think Brookie does it for us lads n laddettes. Hopefully that doesn't put the mocker on us - as most know, I'm extremely cursed and unlucky :)

Manly by 16

(Hopefully we finish a game with all players in their starting position, no players injured and / or no players on report !!).

1 more week to go after this until shoulders Matai returns !! (And hopefully one J Lyon !)

Arguably the greatest try scored at Brookie - they should have named the Hill after Terry after what he did that day - and what about the conversion from Brendan Reeves!

..and he had a head that looked like a dropped pie! Good club man though (first to commit to Manly after the NE fiasco folded) and those two beautiful conversions from the touchline that day will stay in my memory for ever. There's rarely been a louder noise at Brookie than when Tezza scored that try.
Great memories. We still pull that tape out now and then. Very average match for 63 mins with the score at 8-26 down before the late comeback. Lockyer had a field goal attempt from about 40 out in the last minute which missed. It may have been a draw but it felt like one of our best wins. :)

They did - its the patch of grass on the eastern side, Terry's Hill, not to be confused with Mathew's Ridge which used to be where Ken's stand now is.

I wouldnt mind seeing that again if anyone can youtube it?

I remember the roar and jubilation that day. A terrific feeling. You would have thought we had actually won but there wasn't an unhappy face at Brookie.

Drove all the way from Melbourne the day before so I could make this game, as I was re-locating back to Sydney. Glad I made the effort. Have it on VHS, but it is getting bit fuzzy. Need to burn it to DVD before I lose it.

I was that game too. Another memorable one for me was a game against the Roosters at Brookie (cant remember what year).

About 20 mins in we were getting towelled, 18-0. My brother in law says, "This is ****, lets go"

I said na lets sit it out, it cant get any worse. I think the score ended up 36-18 to us.

Can anyone else remember when that was? I used to have the game on VHS but lost it along the way somewhere.
