Matabele

Journey Man
The game started to turn at the 50th minute when Perry started to give away soft penalties.  Yes, the forward pass try was disgraceful and we couldn't buy a penalty (were Parra really perfect for the last 35 minutes?)  But the momentum shift in both weeks has been Teddy Bear flopping and being slow to get off, giving away penalties that gives the other side a sniff.

With Rose back next week, who is the player to make way?  I thought Cross was good today, as were Rodney and Co.

Perry is clearly the weakest link in the pack.  I hope to see him in Queensland next week - just the wake up call the butter boy needs.

Cross and Smokin Joe were fine.....Perry was "ok" for about 20 mins.... for me Rose in Perry out.

AND

Ballin to play for 80 mins, as soon as Seu Seu later came on they were rudderless, that's two weks in a row!!

It is a tough one Mata, I liked the desperation in his chase on Hayne, but need to see more of it in attack and the discipline area. He wouldn't start for me next week, riding the pine may be a kick start that he is falling back in the pecking order, but like you I also find it tough that 1 of Cross or Galuvao miss out if he retains his slot

He consistently gives away penalties.

An 80 yr old man who has run out of viagra gets up quicker than he does.

We have justed signed numerous players to long term contracts. Thats tells me it is wise to drop under performers to remind them of whats expected. otherwise this side will become complacent nvery quickly. Perry is a perfect case in point.

Liked the look of both Cross and Galuvao, esp. thought Galuvao went well and could really fire for us this year. Perry to miss out next week, should give him a good kick up the behind if he is dropped.
Choc is another who has to pull his head in at times in defence, there is a difference between toughness and stupidity.

I am always easier on Choc. One thing I know about him is when he gets into that couple of week period where he drops ball and is generally ineffective, i know he has Kennedys ghost whispering in his ear, & he turns it around & puts blinders in.

I bet you Perry won't miss out though.  He'll be there on reputation and easily goaded into dumb penalties by his old team mates.

He also has photos of Des and the goat so no way he will be in QLD this year
