Watching Katich play is ok if youve just painted a wall and your looking for something slightly more boring to do than watch it dry.

I admit I was wrong with Katich, but I think i've almost chalked up en evener by suggesting Watson was capable of opening at test level. I know the Windies arent the best measure but we will see after the Pakis.

Watson has done well but gets out bowled and lbw too much for an opener.  Long term it will be too tiring to be a bowler as well as open in test matches

Hughes may be given another chance if ponting is out next test. Will be interesting to see who bats where if ponting doesnt play.

I'm interested to see how Clarke goes as captain if Ponting is out. There's an obvious shuffle they could do if Hughes is in but I don't think they would want to disrupt the batting order too much, Hughes straight in to 3.

Katich to 3, Hughes to open up for mine.  When Hughes dominates then there might be an excuse for moving on North, ain't room for a blocker down the order, that's where you put up and comers or all-rounders.
