The Manly Sharks

Not a silly as it may seem.
Both are coastal communities, with a similar beach culture.
Both have reasons to hate the NRL.
Cronulla owns its own ground - albeit a long way from Manly Warringah.
Cronulla does produce a lot of good footballers.
Combining the players and resources of both clubs should result in a top notch team.
However, Manly would have to be the controlling partner in any such arrangement.
Not saying that I think it's a good idea, but I've heard worse.

No thanks. Every time that club gets gifted money from the developments they blow through it and a year later are going broke again. We on the other hand are a bunch of tight arses. That kind of pairing never works .

You would lose majority of supporters.....both hate each other with a passion.
Has this seriously been discussed, or just a muck about thread ?

Let the Sea Eagles soar [ or try to soar ] solo . Let the former incompatible partners the Bears continue to hibernate and never on Manly "s patch or space , As for the Sharks , let them circle in their own mire..

I don’t think they have produced “lots of good footballers.”

I can’t think of any. Rogers was from Queensland and do was his son.

Maybe only et. That’s one.

Sparkle"s McGaw , Jason Stevens , Young Adam Ritson[ [ well sort of ] . a few more but since their inception , probably not that many .
