Yes I agree, don’t forget the NRL in partnership with Telstra allow you to stream each game , data free, on your IPad / Phone!!

A truly joke service. I am not a subscriber but the offer to watch the game on my phone is just dumb. I tried it, technical problems, unable to mirror to tv, so quit.

This season I only watched a few manly games that were on nine. I refuse to give Murdoch my money. So as a mad keen fan I ended up listening to games on radio.

I would pay per view on tv if there was an option. But there isn’t.

How many paying customers out there are missing out on paying, when the only option is an unwanted Foxtel package of Fox rubbish?

The most troubling aspect is that the broadcasters seemingly have such an influence on the outcome of the competition (directly or indirectly).

As soon as the NRLs measurement of success became primarily focused on profitability rather than the health of the game and service to the fans - the whole thing got messed up. Now we have political types with little feel for the game and an agenda to maintain their cushy positions running things. We may as well relocate the whole governing body to Canberra.
