I think that the point that Mave was making is that at least the N R L essentially had the best interests of Rugby League as their main priority where as Murdoch was primarily only interested in acquiring a mayor sporting code for his Pay T V network . The game got a bit more professional after the split or war but after Murdoch did so much harm and disruption . At least again the A R L had more righteousness and better intentions with their cause and position .
