I don't think the talent pool at the club is responsible for the sub-par performances...I think the drama has simply caught up with us, and the playing group is not buzzing like it needs to be.

This is a tough competition, and talent only gets you so far. You need 17 committed players to take the field in order to win against any opposition team outside of maybe the Raiders.

I just don't think there is a good vibe at Manly for obvious reasons, and it's showing on the field. Sure, we are short a couple of stars in the forwards to challenge for a premiership, but there is enough quality in our roster to make the finals and cause headaches along the way IF we play with spirit and commitment. We proved this against Melbourne; we were under siege and played like men possessed, but it's hard to get up like that every week with the cloud that's hanging over our club.

Don't look to the squad of 25 for faults in order to account for our current failings. The nucleus of this same squad were a bees dick off taking out the minor premiership last year. We are a club in crisis, the effects of which are now starting to manifest on the field, instead of simply off it.

I watched the game. Basically we had no ball for the first 11 minutes.

DCE gave away two (yes 2) penalties for holding down opposition players on tackle four and five in the first two sets. That out us back on our own try line for the start of the game.

I'm sorry people but im not a fan of JSL...not sure what he brings..nice guy...but that's it...
Snake...is our best player at the moment..BUT...getting old...bringing the ball back..can't break the line or cause a half break...but when he chimes into the backline...Super.....
The issue...our injuries...will cause more pain and the season could be gone before we get everyone fit and the best team on the park.....im hoping the State of Origin period will help us...

Overhaul in the Forwards . Players with line speed and ones that make metres going forward and not running side ways . If we dont fix this deficiency no halve combination can excel.
