If you saw him against the Tigers it's obvious that a stint in reggies is what's needed. Payments aside, he'd be a liability in first grade for a few weeks.

A lot of his signing would be based on potential. He isn't on massive coin really, and when we signed him, we did that as a backrower, so getting him ready for that permanently will take time and I am sure Cleal, Hasler and co would have budgeted on that, with the aim to have him up and running as a bench impact forward by Origin time, which is still 4-5 weeks away I think

Exactly right. He is a work in progress, the wait will be worth it.

Never thought they'd throw him in straight away. He's a kid who played a handful of NRL last year and yeah, potential is what he has.  I wouldn't expect him to start in first grade and make game breaking impact all the time.  He has a heap to learn.  No doubt he'll come good and play NRL regularly soon
