Really do not think that any cap issues per say would be a factor in the current situation with Hastings . Would have received at least half of his adjusted 350 k or so for this season by now , may be some savings if another club would be prepared to take him on now and to then supplement a contract to some other prospective half for instance before June the 30 th but don"t think there are many options out there, let alone any other club interested taking Hastings off Manly 's hands right now .Of course there will continue be mixed opinions on how the Hastings situation has been handled but nothing will be changing into the immediate future . It would still seem for mainly the right reasons and for the overall team's best interests , a decision has been made and that is the reality that will just have to be come to terms with right now and accepted .
