Ok we have some cash that was left over around $80K plus say $520K for Walkz, we possibly can get salary cap relief as well for him so say an additional $50K if we ask for it, the money for Winterstein say $250K. That by my count means we have around $900K to buy some quality backs.

The question is who? and where from? Do we get 1 great player - but are there any left or willing to come to our club? or do we get 2 for around $450K each? and again who and were from?

or Do we forward pay our big contract players for next year and have $1.3 mil to shell out next year?

I'm not sure there is anyone about for the start of the season. Franks departure would be for his own benefit more so than anyone elses. I think you would be trying to sign a gun outside back for 2020 and clearing a bit of cap space to try and get them here early. I wonder what centres are available for 2020?

Honestly, I'd bring up Abbas Miski. The guy is a huge upgrade on Taufua, Suli, Parker & Elliott.

Like Abass. Plays with urgency , looks like he has good hands, physically strong .He will be on one wing in 2020 I reckon if we don’t recruit out wide.

Well apparently Haumole Olakauatu is taking Franks spot in the 30.... and whilst I think his departure might free up a little space I doubt it is much.

We would have already paid him a portion and may be picking up part of his tab. Then we need to pay Haumole.

Maybe we save 50k.....but that is just a wild guess

Don’t think this is about cash. I’d reckon Des just doesn’t rate him and took the chance to move him on. Des loves blokes like Tollman, Kitey , Choc, Gift and Graham with incredible wok rates . I don’t think Frankie meets that criteria. Not a Des player at all.

Abbas looked decent in that trial but lets not get too excited after 1 performance.

He is 23 and was playing Ron Massy Cup last year, his focus at this stage should be locking down a spot with Blacktown

Also saying he is a huge upgrade on Taufua who has played 164 first grade games, 2 games for city and was once in SOO contention is an insult.

Even Suli who cops his fair share is 3 years younger and has played 31 first grade games
