United we stand, divided we fall!!!

I think the events of the last week or so have shown that the clubs biggest problem is that currently we are divided and that is a recipe for a big big fall!!!

To me this is Trent Barrett's biggest test yet as a coach, we are under the pump, the mismanagement of the salary cap and the sanctions that we are now facing have really put us behind the eight ball.

No player, I repeat no player is bigger than the club, there is no I in team, it is laughable that we have players who wont player with one player, come on fellas we are better and bigger than that!!

The dearth of leadership in our club is really showing right now. We need a strong coach to stand up to the playing group and get some unity and team work in there.

We have the talent in our roster to be a force, the time has come for the coaching staff to be bold with our selections as we have limited options due to this cap mess, start promoting some of our young players even if some of them are not ready. DCE and Foran were 20 when they started, if they are good enough, play them!! Seeing rotting away at Blacktown is a dead loss!!

Ball is in your court fellas, you either play as a team or we have the season from hell!!!!

Ive posted on here a few times it is only a matter of time before disharmony sets in. The reason is that our forwards do the hard work only to watch certain players be frivolous with possesion. It is and has always been a recipe for diaster

I also have said i believe some of hastings issues stem from dce

yes - I am sure the big 3 and Bellamy make most of those decisions, we also see it at origin level too.

Couple of issues to be addressed here is;

* Did Trent allow the players to take responsibility for the teams culture as a group and allow them to set a higher standard of expectation for each team member? This is good team management and a great step forward. That makes the players accountable for their own actions.
* Given previous point, the team needs take accountability for the decision it has clearly made. Each player needs to stand up and now cover for each other.
* The way they played last Sunday was a disgrace and they didn't play as a team, each of them were down, there was zero motivation. They looked pre occupied - probably on the internal issues. Was the sloppiest ruck area I have ever seen.
* This next game is now one based on character, as professionals they need to work for each other, play each play the ball as it was their last, each tackle as their last. They need to fight to save their reputations. They need to start with smaller goals that will lead to bigger goals. Anyone coming in suggesting they need to just improve on last week performance and still lose, needs to be shown the door!
* They can restart their season and have us faithful supporters have restored faith in the team, or they can provide the same c%$p and loose us forever

DCE is not a leader of men into the trenches. Hes an intellect who won't ear from the tough win at all costs grunts in the team. Him and Barrett want stability and paper over the cracks.There is a massive fracture in the team between the leadership and the tough players who want to win at all costs. Barrett is spineless and DCE will never lead a team to a premiership.

This weeks game will tell us everything. Parra are hopeless atm. A good win will see us united again. A loss will be the end. The first penelty we give away is vital. You know its going to come in the first few sets. How we react to it , will be telling.

That worked well @Woodsie, they then dished up the clubs worst performance since Northern eagle days! Makes no sense, the opportunity was there to banish Hastings forever. From a football perspective, not having the ball for 15 minutes was the catalyst for the loss. But our inability to hang tough in the grind was non existent, as was the attention to detail to even consider remaining in the contest. Find another conspiracy mate, because this one doesn't stack up. On point, the rest of the team flopped, not Jackson Hastings. So for somebody in the club to leak and get the media to throw him under the bus after such a piss weak effort is deplorable!

Mate ... the issues with Hastings have been going on since half way through last year ... none of it is new .... It is why he spent all last year in reggies ....

I have no idea whatsoever what the weekends game has to do with the topic ??????
