Wests Tigers statement

He won't be at Tigers next year. That is pretty clear.
Yeah, I was thinking that but geeez, that doesn't make the situation any better. And I don't care about the Tigpies and don't think he'll be coming to us.

Yeah, the professional and respectful way to announce something like this to team mates, sponsors and fans.

Lackie says hold my beer ...

The simple truth is Galvin has no faith in his coach’s ability. In discussions with the club over the past week, the boom five-eighth’s camp told Wests Tigers powerbrokers Galvin didn’t believe he would develop to become the player he wanted to be under Marshall’s coaching.

Galvin’s representatives didn’t even want the Tigers to table an offer, such was their desire to look elsewhere from November 1.

Sources with knowledge of the situation, talking on the condition of anonymity due to the confidential nature of discussions, told the Herald that Galvin believed there was a ceiling on how far he could develop at the club, especially given Marshall’s tendency to appoint former Tigers teammates as assistant coaches.

That, combined with the genuine dislike between Marshall and Galvin’s agent Isaac Moses, meant the situation was always destined to end in tears.

Lets not forget the Large brothers we have signed, well technically we only signed the one and the other was released then we got him and remember his parents weren't happy with the way the club was treating Onitoni and you can bet that Lachie Galvin was mates with them and saw how they treated them, a bit of food for thought

And they reckon the club is not bullying players, no because the players are doing it for them. And some of us bag the our club out for the way the dce thing was handled, what they have done makes us middle of the paper news and made it harder for Galvin to have to face his teammates, why didnt they keep it in house instead of letting the media know

Tough position for the club though - they've been through all this 10 years ago when Isaac Moses held them to ransom over the 'big 4' & they ended up losing all but Brooks.

They've seen it all before & no doubt know that Moses is very capable of using his media contacts to sling mud at the club & probably wanted to get on the front foot & get their statement out before the Moses circus got into full swing.

I'd love for Wests to make a stand & drop Galvin to NSW cup for the remainder of his contract. It would send not only a message to other players thinking for trying this out, but would also teach Moses that he can't always get what he wants using dirty tactics.
