History repeats!!!

For decades teams that have dominated over a number of years have all had one thing in common.

Bath’s babes, the Eels of the early 80s, the Bulldog entertainers, the Raiders, the Sea Eagles, the Storm, the Broncos.

That is a nucleus of players that develop as a group through the ranks, they are supplemented with experience and graduate to become multiple premiership teams.

Stone, Young, Reddy, Edge – The Mortimers, Hughes’, Brentnall et el, Kenny, Sterling, Ella, Grothe, Stuart, Daley, Clyde – Smith, Cronk, Slater – Langer, Lewis, Walters, Renouf etc etc and of course, Menzies, Gartner, Kosef, Toovey, Hancock, Hopoate.

Up for debate now, are we on the cusp of a similar dynasty, do we recognise it enough to shore up the talent. Turbos x 3, Hopoate, Fainu, Schuster, Fonua-Blake, Cust, Funa, Anderson, Metcalfe and more. We need to translate the recent success in the junior competitions in future premierships.

And we need to lock up the Turbos, AFB, Fainu and Schuster as priorities.
That in itself is going to be tough enough.
Then worry about the rest...
