    I was just explaining why the Turbos got paid what they did. I wasn't justifying it. And DCE would 100% get close to a million. You realize 500k barely gets you a first grader these days? Whether you like him or not he is rated one of the best players in the game.

    The dogs were prepared to pay more for them when the brothers signed their contracts. Thats all that matters. And the reality is DCE would get close to 1m a season for 2 seasons on the open market. Even at his age.

    Bearfax he can defend as you point out. But my post was where his head is at, and for me his focus is on attack. I personally don't think he likes the contact part of the game.

    Others have said it, but the giveaway is the 5/8 part. Schuster thinks the game is just about attacking. He is a one-way thinker, but league is a two way game (i.e defending is at least 50% of the game and as important). All he wants is the highlight reel.

    I've actually defended Aloiai a bit on here and think he is playing well this year. Happy to have him around at the right price but i reckon he won't stay beyond this contract.

    You are right about no clean out. Realistically Lawton goes next year and Aloiai won't be re-signed when his contract expires. That's probably it in terms of the top 17. Seibold has gambled on experience and an attack-first mindset. But you win games these days with defence and young fast guys...
