Given Des will reach 200 games as coach this weekend, who is the only person to coach Manly for 100+ games but not win a premiership?

You've got the four that have won premierships C&C (all having coached for 100+ games), but Arko is not the answer. There is one more person to have coached 100+ games.

If you include the merger in our history it would have to be Peter Sharp wouldn't it?

Nice thinking Fonz, but I wasn't including the Beagles. If you do include them, he qualifies, but not who I was thinking of. Not Geore Hunter or Graham Lowe either.

Next hint, he coached in two stints, the first of which was as captain-coach.

Wally O'Connell captain coached and then coached but i don't think he made it to 100?

That's the one Fonz, 100 games exactly. First stint was 1950-1952 (I think he only coached in 1950 because he sat out the season to qualify under the residency rule), taking us to a Grand Final in 1951. He then returned to coach 1966-1967.
