Funny that you say that, it always amazes me that despite standing close to the sideline they are entrusted with determining where the ball crosses the line despite being 20-30m away at times.
How do they do that? There's no way they can tell where it crosses the line, it's just a guess. And no-one seems to question them on it.

Why is close enough is good enough for this yet we go into a myriad of replays for other stuff?
