Can Taukeiaho & Tevaga add that "Brown" impact ?

Would love that castle eagle....but unfortunately can't stretch it to BK - that bloke turned Manly around on his shoulders to help set up that golden era along with Stewart bros, Lyon and Choc Watmough....BK arguably the most influencial of them all....not the Best (that's Snake) ....but the...

    The old warhorse

Jake is nowhere near the attacking value as Cam Murray and others as he lacks the speed to be a threat, but his involvement even in backline sweeps and decoy/option runs is often overlooked and he still does have a nice tip on pass and inside ball and the hard part to value is his impact to his...

    The old warhorse

Personally feel Jake is on VERY big money compared with to other "quality " lock forwards , but will say 1 thing. There are certain players that as a team mate, you look for on the field who you know will have your back 100%, not because they are great players, simply all heart....Jake fits this...

Can Taukeiaho & Tevaga add that "Brown" impact ?

I reckon that's a fair summary Ryan - in fact 1 game against Melbourne he got repeatedly ragdolled and off 2 kickoffs gave 1 penalty away (with the ball) after being driven back and then spilt the ball off the next kickoff....but here's the kicker with Brown, he then stuck his hand up for the...

Can Taukeiaho & Tevaga add that "Brown" impact ?

The off season signings of the 2 experienced forwards Taukeiaho and Jazz Tevaga had had mixed reviews. Can these players add what Brown gave Manly in 2024 with that impact off the bench, in fact will they even make the top 17 ? I believe they have been signed to play significant roles...

    [Resurrected] Gordon Chan Kum Tong

1 thing for sure, if Manly are to challenge come finals time, need more than Croker at 9 to add thrust in the middle or again will be eliminated with a whimper The 1 man Turbo thing is not a winning formula and need to add more attacking threats , which all start through the middle

The game has moved on from me and a lot of people from my generation

I love the game before, then and now and agree with everything regarding the abilities.....it's almost cheatcard with some of the physical abilities of the modern player. The only part of todays game i feel lacks the yesteryear appeal is "playing what's in front of you" as there are so many...

    2026 recruitment & retention

That's 100% the kid with a big future......thing is as we all learn over time, the ability is a gift and a Massive bonus, but unless there's great discipline and hard work off the field....there are no guarantee's, but the wraps on him are pretty good relating to attitude so hopes are high !!

    2026 recruitment & retention

The players rated at the club are Pua'avase a 20-21 yo prop who is athletic and has potential, but the best imo is an 18yo front rower Faiase ? ...real powerhouse and has skills plus big motor, if he stays on track has a big future, also the dummy half role from 2026 looks encouraging with a...

    Siosiua Taukeiaho

Yep ....and about 2 grades above him as a player I'll support Aloiai and hope he makes impact, but has been damn ordinary imo

    Siosiua Taukeiaho

Disregard his English gig last season The bloke is an 8 out of 10 front rower all day Past his prime But will help the Paseka types to lift and cause his own problems for the opposition in between Best buy for a while - though I really believe Jazz Tevaga will add starch and aggression off the...

    We were blessed at centre

Watching some old games Mick O'Connor What a freak He joins us 1987 and win and MASSIVELY part of that I'd add Shearer but he played everywhere Then Lyon who imo was just ridiculous So skilful and if he was a hog would have doubled his tries Let's hope our 2025 centres can show this type of...

If we are to go all the way in 2025 who is in our 17?

The reasons we haven't recruited much is salary cap and no need Only need to tweak key areas and stay uninjured to be in the contest Will be Top 4 in 2025 and that opinion is of some far higher rated than mine

    The Silvertail's optimism pulse 2025.

My vibe is very positive I see a Top 4 finish in the the 2025 pipeline and a Premiership win, maybe a season away The keys are pretty clear also, need another 9 to shine, even if Seibold persist with Croker....which he will Need either Butbo/Patolo to make that right edge improve by 20% of 2024...
