    Croker

Apparently out for a further month after having clean out work done on his knee

Won’t win another game this year!

I will have a bet with you for as much money as you care to mention that the title of the thread is wrong. I normally try to avoid reading your posts because they are SO negative. I've heard of glass half full/half empty to describe people but never heard of anyone as glass bone dry. I think...

    Jamal Fogarty

Exactly. Not sure how they can start driving his worth up when they had it in their gift to sign him for next year for a reported 400-450. If this is the case then just walk away.

    Croker

I still think Croker's best position is as an 80 minute lock. His distribution from dummy half isn't good enough and let's not pretend it is just because none of the others aren't any better. He can graft all game and dig into the line and get a pass away. He also has a decent kicking game.

So what does 'generational' actually mean? To me it means that once in generation talent that is so far above everyone else of their age that it doesn't seem fair. Schuster was generational, Katoa, Weekes, Strange, Sam Walker etc. Yet now it's Galvin who's head and shoulders above them all...

    2026 recruitment & retention

Agree with what you're saying. The key nowadays is to have a good spine ( including a dynamic hooker) and the rest of the team needs to be fit, lean and mobile. The storm do seem to take an average player and make them look like a world beater just because they play well in their system. The...

He's obviously agitating for a move to the Bulldogs sooner rather than later. Contracts only seem to work in the players' favour nowadays

Have you not heard of Pappy's injuries? I've not checked the figures but he must have missed close to as many games as Tom over the last 3-4 years. Hughes and Munster have also had their own injury problems. The difference is they have effective backup players.

Or maybe they think the money could be used better elsewhere?

    Dally M 2025

Surely that's the last time Stevie Wonder is invited to judge. The bloke knows nothing about footy.

    Galvin

I've watched him and I just don't get why people are getting so excited about him. He regularly makes the wrong call in attack, like he's trying to add to a highlights reel. Headless chook DCE mkII. In terms of young halves he's not fit to lace Katoa's boots. I would sooner have an experienced...

    2026 recruitment & retention

I dunno. Taukeiaho has played one good game for us and been average in the rest. He's not likely to get any better given his age. Brown has been a non entity this year. They're both yesterdays men. Young, fit, mobile forwards is the way to go rather than old plodders.

    Post-Game Discussion Sharks V Manly [Round 6, 2025]

I think the try the young lad Purdue at the cowboys scored showed how Koula should be used. Bring him into the middle against tiring big men, with his quick feet he's always a chance of breaking the line.

    Frustrating game lacking resilience

I think it was our inability to score points today that cost us. We had plenty of ball and in good field position in the first half hour and never really looked like scoring.

    Post-Game Discussion Sharks V Manly [Round 6, 2025]

It looked like a game between two teams battling for the bottom four rather than the top four. Two poor teams. God we miss Turbo

    NRL Games [Round 6, 2025]

And yet I still can't help but think that they're not done yet. If there was one team that finished eighth and went on to win the whole thing then it would be the panthers. They need a reset with the players they've lost but I still wouldn't write them off

    What's worth streaming on TV.

The latest series of Black Mirror should be due on Netflix today. For anyone not familiar, they're like a modern Twilight Zone. I find most of them are 9/10
