    Croker today has delivered

Fully agree with this. I was watching him after the game, he was high-fived by training staff, Tommy T and other players - clear they support him, know what he's gone through and were stoked that he had such a game. Just great to see a bloke so happy after a tough run, regardless of ability...

    Greg Inglis as well.

    The Guthersation

Is that based on information that you have? Does not seem a fit for them.

    TurBros on The Fan

Agree - I thought the Professor had a farewell tour, but he's still around (and not a Professor anyway, or any good to watch at all).

    Peter "Shoey" Schuster

Much appreciated. I guess it was Des's call.

So its confirmed that he has left the club?

    Gutho off contract

You would be paying him Dylan's centre money ... may not be enough. My read of him, no inside info, is that he was very dirty to be pushed out at Manly, but does want to come back and would take something of a discount to play at Manly again. He is from the areas and has friends at the club...

    Gutho off contract

I know this has been debated quite a bit, but Gutho is off-contract next year at the Eels. He would be a great get for us at centre, can fill in at 5/8 or fullback, and I think he is still at heart a Manly lad. With things not looking too promising for Dylan, this could be an obvious...

    Hasler

They did finally make him the offer he wanted, but he had already decided to go by the time that Scott Penn got to doing this. Arguably he should have just put the money on the table earlier, and Des would have stayed, but hindsight is 20/20. I think even had Des stayed there would have been...

    Not cool at all mate.

    Clint Gutherson......

That would be the icing on the cake given recent developments. I've no doubt that while probably angry about what happened, there is nothing Gutho would like better than to go back to Manly. What a backline that would be.

Baz, it's time to leave Manly – and no, you don't deserve a cent

That will have been agreed between the two parties as part of the negotiation to get this done - most likely at the request of the club.

Baz, it's time to leave Manly – and no, you don't deserve a cent

Agree with you both on this. A poorly drafted document seems to be the issue. Hard to throw stones without knowing the detail and context, but if TB was/is trying to ensure full payout even in the contingency that he lines up a new job in the time before contract term, then I would disagree...

Lussick let rip at Barrett before taking Toronto lifeline

Thanks Woodsie. I agree, but also think Darcy is hard-core Manly and probably doing it tough in Toronto (maybe not!). Des returning certainly opens up some interesting possibilities.

Lussick let rip at Barrett before taking Toronto lifeline

Is that right? I remember Des gave Darcy his GF ring by ways of apologizing, and thought they were OK. The Parra deal was all about $$$ and with input from Darcy's father. Don't recall bad blood vs Des there, but correct me if I am wrong on this.

Lussick let rip at Barrett before taking Toronto lifeline

Agree - he was ready to put in a big year last year and then got injured in one of the trials, and after that never in first grade. Would bring aggression and a bit of Manly passion.

Expectations on NRL following Desy's story.

They'll be premiers 5% In the finals but no title 60% Just miss out on the playoffs 30% Around the bottom of the ladder 5% These outcomes assume something like our current roster (i.e. no major departures or devastating injuries). The betting agencies have not priced the new coaching staff...

Joel Thompson has to stay. A real leader, as well as an awesome bloke making a difference away from footy.
