Maybe straight into a defensive coach's contract at Manly :)

    Seibold Ball

I think Mark's saying the wealthier clubs like Brisbane & Melbourne have got more money to spend on better facilities & off field resources. The salary cap applies to every team equally (although we know some teams are more equal than others) but where these big clubs outdo the smaller clubs is...

To be fair, Preston himself has said he wasn't in the right frame of mind the day he trialled for Manly & therefore didn't do too well. Combine that with the club's newly (at that time) developed western pathways program, the club's focus was definitely not on local juniors for that period...

Mention of the bulldogs & how well they're doing - they basically got rid of their whole top 30 squad in a 3 year period once Gus took control. That's a massive clean out that would not have been possible here at Manly, with the Tartak-Fulton alliance embedding 10-11 players in our top 30 that...

    Adam Reynolds?

I think his hammies might be too short for Turbo though

It's not just DCE's contract though, it's the other factors I stated in my post too IMO. We've been hamstrung by DCE's contract, Turbo's injuries, Manase's court case dragging on, Schuster's inability to get fit, & the ripple effects of all of them.

And also signed some 10 or 11 players from the western pathways program who: -passed away (RIP Keith Titmuss) -stabbed a bloke after we let Api go to invest in him (Manase) -never got his fitness up to scratch & so was constantly injured (Schuster) While the others never really hit any great...

Ah 😂 they didn’t say but I assume it was the Curl Curl one they were referring to.

So if it's Seibold's fault when we lose games, who gets the credit for our wins?

Burbo mustn't be playing then, because I saw him walking his dog on Ocean street in Narrabeen this morning around 7.30am. Maybe he's heading over later.

Woodsie on Triple M this morning to Brett Read - reckons he got a tip off from someone who was at the gym talking to a local real estate agent who said they're appraising DCE's house in Curl Curl. Read said he'll chase that down & find out what's going on. LET THE SPECULATION CONTINUE!!!

I stopped reading at this point because it’s so blatantly unobjective, & no doubt the rest of your post is based on this fallacy. You don’t know what happened behind the scenes but the fact is, our club captain, who is still contracted to us for the rest of this season, appeared on a TV show...

And yet there wasn’t even the slightest hint he felt this way about Mestrov prior to DCE appearing on channel 9. I've diagnosed Bozo as a contrarian bandwagon jumper.

Gee it'd be good if Wally could provide a single example of the club putting the boot into any other player that's left us to back up his claim.

    Pre-Game Manly V Storm [Round 5, 2025]

I think because Lodge isn't eligible until round 11, he doesn't feature on our current injury list. I'm hoping Talau appears in today's team list - I'm sure he was 19th man (behind Faulalo at 18) in last week's team list. I heard Faulalo was injured in NSW cup on Sunday?
