    I hated the look of our pack for this match when I saw the team sheet. It only got worse when half of the pack had to play in the backline. If either of Taukeiaho or Aloiai had played, or Hoppa had stayed on the park, we would have got the job done I reckon.

    Sometimes I really wonder if our guys are part of some kind of elaborate match fixing syndicate, given how often we lose when we are favourites and win when we are outsiders. I hope they just get out there tonight and get it done.

    Knowing our luck if Tom went to the Super League he'd have 5 consecutive injury free seasons and be in the best form of his life. I hope he stays and just has a very affordable contract. Does what DCE should have done.

    That pack makes me nervous. It's amazing how much weaker our side looks with just one or two changes to the pack.

    I can agree wholeheartedly that Waddell being picked in first grade is fairly objectionable, but Burbo is the second best back rower at the club and it's daylight third.

    Yeah it was basically perfect in terms of rotating Croker's suitability to the early bash and barge phase, with Simpkin's suitability to the more open ended parts of the contest. I hope Siebold keeps going with that template.

    We have had a few matches this season where a prop has played really well in the first half only to pick up an injury that sees us down a bench player for the second half. That dynamic has cost us a few potential 50+ scorelines.

    I doubt he will see much more. I'd be keen to see Walsh given a crack to be honest, just hide him on the wing on D if he's not up to the rigours of FG defense. If the Roosters can win a GF with Cronk playing with one arm we can give Walsh a taste of First Grade.

    Very pleasing win, and our draw for the next 5 weeks looks very good too. Here's hoping we can stop this Dr Jekyll Mr Hyde crap and actually string some wins together.
