No, they played him at centre v the Riff. Like a lamb to the slaughter.

    Other Games [2023]

It's all set up for next week and the Raiders to be royally dumped from the eight. I am not sure there has ever been a team more fitting than the current bunch of Raiders and their coach.

@Leho If you can't watch games live the NRL website has match replays uploaded the next day. Good quality.

    Half way - report card

Would agree with the original post and hoping for more consistency with combinations for the second half of the year. One positive, with the arrival of Jake Arthur we won't have to see anymore of C Johns. Grade wise, nothing more than a C.

    Optimist/Pessimist pulse .. UPDATE

I was positive after the trials and the first month and a bit of the competition. It was terrible timing to meet a Penrith team on the rebound, and, unfortunately, combined with injuries, has exposed the cracks. The biggest of which, we just don't have depth. Starting to get some players back...

    The No-Look News (Schuster Chronicles)

To be honest, if we get the same effort and result as last week, I will likely not be too fussed. 17 working to a common goal is how we make headway this year.

In Reality - forward SOFT again !

Our use of Ola is diabolical. You have a weapon that is very hard to stop and you do your best to stifle his space and get him hitting the line from a standing start. WTF are we doing. TBH, it is amateur hour ATM.

The Dead Wood needs to go!!!

If we are taking the cap into consideration, the only person on that list that we can, and should, get rid of is Harper. He should never see a first grade jersey again. The others are essential parts of balancing the cap for a team with a few top ended players. While we stuffed up big time with...

The Jurbo Journal - (just a really nice Jake thread)

Must have been a hot day down Mona Vale yesterday and Jake, definitely, forgot his sunscreen.

    Optimist/Pessimist pulse .. UPDATE

I am sure that performance put the shivers into a few fans. Hopefully the reason for our flatness was that the coach had put us through a gruelling week and we are fresher for next week's game.

Tommy T Injured - usa bound

Although I do have a few criticisms of the way in which Tom has been used by both Hasler and Seibold (up to this point), there are definitely other areas I would be pointing fingers before Turbo's name even came into consideration. I am going to hold my tongue but there are a few that need to...

    Weekes - need's Blacktown ASAP

Was thinking we might have seen him as a starting centre today. As a fullback or 5/8 coming through the juniors, maybe there are some questions about his defence on the edge. In regard to Harper, while I love his energy and enthusiasm, I am not sold that his defence is up to NRL standard. He...

    Who makes the signing decisions?

I suppose that depends on how much coin we are paying him. If, as rumoured, he is coming free, then it may not be a bad deal. With the situation at the dragons, there is every possibility we were going to lose both anyway at some stage. As others have mentioned, this allows us to open up slots...
