Silvertail's team of the half Century ... Prop

Great list. No other club could put together a list of props as strong as this. Having followed the Eagles since '65 my vote would go to Lurch and Ward with Roberts and Spud on the bench.

De Belin verdict will not change the NRL’s stand down policy (RLPA to challenge)

No easy answer to this. However I can't see why the stood down player couldn't play in the next level down whilst awaiting a decision. It isn't run by the NRL and would atl east mean they are ready to play if found not guilty.

    The boys look fit

It would be good to get an injury update on players like Suli, Foran, Jorge and Tom from the club. Are they on track for Round 1?

So taking cocaine has performance enhancing properties but if you say it is for recreation purposes you get off with a one month ban from the day you are tested. So the team can get on the gear the day before the gf then take the one month ban whilst they are on their end of season break. Sounds...

Goal kicking 5/8 in Union. Went through the GPS system. Picked in the Aussie school boys Union team in 2019 so must have some talent. Assume will be playing Flegg next year.

Good to see no strapping on his knee too.

    Cartwright Gone

Don't know if we need the Walkers but we need to look at some of their innovations. ie. Short kick offs, contesting line drop outs. The game is all about posession now and regaining the ball after being under pressure and not just handing it back should be a priority. Even if you dont regain it...

I think Kitey would also be a great mentor for some of our islander players who would benefit from his guidance at times off the field.

    Jack Hetherington

Has it been confirmed that Boyle has gone to the Dogs. I know that there was a report but he was signed to the end of 21. If he has gone good chance they will sign Jack as Dogs may have filled their prop rotation. We do have Marty , Paseka, Keppie, Sipley and the three young ones in Fainu...

    PRE-GAME DISCUSSION: Manly v Titans [Round 19, 2020]

So we rush Turbo back for two games once our season has gone just so he can be ready for Origin. Then he tears his hamstring in the high intensity games and misses the start of next season. Shades of Walker and Jake the last two rep seasons. Can't see an upside for us in any of this.

    Tevita Funa

Can't blame Jorge for that one. He plays on our left side. Addo Carr scored down our right side. But hey Jorge is an easy target for some.

    Give the Storm a hand

Come on, Nelson is only on about $500K which over 20 weeks means $25K per week. So a $900 fine is nearly 4% of his pay for the week. Talk about hitting him with a feather. I am sure that next week he will think twice before lining up a Manly player with a shoulder to the head. Also how did the...

Manly v Storm on the Sunny Coast

Should be the same as a surrender tackle. No reward at the moment. Just usually leads to a six again call.

    PRE-GAME DISCUSSION: Souths v Manly [Round 15, 2020]

Score a try from a kick. Jake not taking a settler on the 4th tackle in the red zone. Our centres get the ball in open play at least once each half.

    6 again stats

Quite often Jake makes one on one tackles. He gets no advantage. Ref just yells at him to get off then calls six again. Yet other tackles have 4 in the tackle and take 5 secs to peel off - no 6 again. Should be a call of one on one and player is given more time similar to the surrender call...
