The Good, the Bad and the Ugly report - Rd 12 2012

Origin sucks it out of those who played. We also had a very physical game against the Roosters in which our pack stood up. Today, they found it hard to do so. I thought we were okay in the first 25 mins but struggled after that. Hopefully we can turn it around for Friday against St Choke!

    The player we really miss?

Oldfield will come good. He deserved to be dropped but he is the goods and will prove this in time. Confidence is a funny thing. He did nothing wrong yesterday. To compare rookies with seasoned first graders is pretty hard. Both Jorge and Oldfield have a lot of improvement left in them and once...

    Most premierships for manly?

I am not sure that the GF replays in 78 count as two Grand Finals? I remember each of these so well and am very grateful for Dvds and boring days for a chance to relive the moments. The joy in my very young heart in 72 and 73 was something to behold, though being at the ground for 87, 96, 2008...

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly report - Rd 11

Awesome report as usual, that I look forward to each week. Great analysis. It is a pity the Telegraph doesn't have a reporter like you that can analyse evenly and without senstationalism. Thanks once again.

Dean Ritchie in the Tele today

The sound on the Hill has been a debacle since the groundwork was undertaken. A few complained about it being too loud but now you hear nothing. It is poorer than poor. Something serious has to be done as half the crowd does not get the comments.

    Harrigan - please explain

So forwards are now allowed to lead with the elbow and take opposing players out??

Since 72 Manly have averaged a Premiership every Five Years

Since breaking our duck, the Mighty Sea Eagles have a great record - a premiership on average every 5 years. 8 wins plus a stack of other grand finals in that time is fantastic success in a tough comp. Add that we have never won a spoon over our total years and it is awesome being a Manly fan...

How bad were the refs today

The short kick-off was the worst decision i have seen in a long time. It was clearly batted forward by a Rorter and the call was play on. There was a lot of inconsistency.

    Manly board turnaround

Without wanting to stir things up, this could be related to the good performance of the front office rather than the board. Boards manage financial accounts, appoint key staff etc whilst the CEO and appointed staff do the actual negotiations and sponsorship stuff (sometimes with the imprimatur...

    Keiran Foran's Injury

Is there any word on Keiran's injury. I thought he looked superb in the time he had on the paddock. Liam is a good replacement but Keiran's brilliance adds another dimension to our attack. Our halves stood up today and did well, but for those of us at the ground, there was no report on the...

    Kingy in open space!!!!

It was the only thing that brought the crowd to its feet today. Great moment!

    Dean Whare

Awesome player who has surprised me. Oldfield did well on the wing today as well. Good to see that we have some depth. Hoppa who??

T-Rex and Lussick in Sun Herald

I wonder if they have escape clauses if Kearney is not the coach? The natives are restless and it can be only days from that horrible announcement: The coach has the full support of the board!!! Aren't Parra looking to buy Money Bill Williams as well. They could spend their total salary cap on...

    The player we really miss?

I agree. Now that he is gone you just notice how he made no mistakes, diffused so many difficult aerial situations and was just plain solid. The other young players have great potential but Robbo was totally consistent and reliable.

    2007 Grand Final

If it means that Parra have not won a comp since 1986 I am happy to not have the 2007 premiership counted as ours. :)

    Wolfman Injured?

Looked like a cork. Wolfie had a good game in both attack and defence.

    Thanks for adding another one!!!

    Unique Player Numbers

Beaver sadly is not considered by the League to have played for one club. Stupidly the Dragons get that status despite the addition of Illawarra. Cant have it both ways -we were basically a Manly licensed club for those purposes.

    Rugby League curses

Kearney is probably not far away from having the full support of the board also. He has bought some shocking players, leads an unhappy club and they are going backwards. Facing breaking the salary cap and getting those results.

Why Manly thrive and will continue to

Kite was not an international before he came to Manly. He was a strong Dragons forward but prospered at Brookvale.
