Seems like a 4 year deal for more money may also have played a part, given he was set to stay at the broncos before we upped the ante. If he did come to Manly specifically to be coached by Seibold, then we can change “none” to “one”.

It’s just as likely the signing has something to do with the Dymock/Hetherington bulldogs connection. Or has nothing to do with either, just money.

Good song, and one of the all time great sports movies

A simple google search indicates Noah Martin is contracted to the raiders until 2028 (3 year extension signed earlier this year).

I hope this doesn’t put the klemmer signing in jeopardy.

    Sack Seibold Immediately

Who coaches Harvard? Perhaps we should chase them.

I had the same thought when I read that.

    2026 recruitment & retention

That run on pack is a long way from premiership quality. And if paseka gets injured again, it’s bottom 4.

Not sure Scott would know Saab if he ran into him - would probably think you are referring to a Saab 900. Surely it’s Seibs/Mestrov making these calls.

Does this mean we haven’t escaped the “cluster” yet? Or have we escaped it, but not in a good way?

Not sure - I may have even not heard it correctly. Thought one of the commentators said it during the game, but it may just have been Blocker, so just as likely completely untrue.

    Who will win the comp

Sharks played good finals type footy against the dogs. They look pretty good across the park - not sure Hynes makes much difference either way. They could surprise, but are just as likely to bow out against the roosters. Definitely much more wide open this year - would have coincided nicely with...

I think I heard that they have also re-signed Jake Arthur.

I stuck it out until halftime, but that was it. Does he need to make every player and every play an over-the-top high pitched greatest moment in history? It’s like he thinks he needs to compensate for a nothing game by trying to turn it into the greatest spectacle on Earth.

Pretty sure it was Haumono not his girlfriend, though I could be wrong.

Agreed. But great to see Bethan Ullemore get some long overdue recognition.

A different time, that’s for sure. I’m not sure today’s drivers even know where the engine is. They always seem more like mobile “gamers” to me - sitting in a moving seat rather than in their mums basement.

Someone else asked if wighton to Souths was the biggest face plant of the season. The dogs throwing Galvin into a team that was humming must be a close second.
