    Galvin

Galvin is definitely a good player and (probably) will be generational. So yes we need to be in this discussion with him which "legally" cannot start until Nov. However what is absolutely a far more pressing priority is to restructure our engine room. To do that we will need to restructure some...

    How do we unlock Koula?

I have commented on Tolu before and don't believe he is a centre....nor a FB. I would be very surprised if he played centre in his junior days. I am not sure he has that ability to beat his man one on one close up. Definitely can do out in the open spaces but not in close say centre to centre...

    Jason King

I am an unabashed Mestrov supporter. I think he has done a great job since coming on board. However I agree with you that his on air offer was poor judgement. We are all entitled to make a mistake and that was definitely a mistake imo. The bigger judgement question in my mind however is that...

    [Resurrected] Turbo injury,healt..wait..injury - updates

Looks like the consensus is to leave Turbo where he is. Just as well I am not he coach as I would have most of you guys offside.....and Tom in the centre!!! Fingers crossed for the guy and for the team.

    [Resurrected] Turbo injury,healt..wait..injury - updates

Almost bordering on that famous definition of madness. After only two matches into a very long season, I would be making some permanent and structural changes right now before the season gets away from us. Firstly there is absolutely no doubt Turbo is the best fullback in the world but I...

    Lehi Hopoate

Yes same here. That was one of the many surprises from Friday night. I know he has some toe but failed to put his foot down a number of times where he had that opportunity. Looked injured / reluctant to stretch out.

    > Siosiua Taukeiaho <

We absolutely missed him last night and yes we were a shambles....not only in the forwards but right across the park. He may have only played 22 minutes last week but I thought he was easily the most dominant forward in the middle. I would not mind betting we have Taukehaio and Lodge as our...

    Run Koula Run

I still maintain that Tolu is NOT a centre. I have always seen him as a winger in the Brian To'o mould. Lightning fast and strong. Lehi on the other hand should be his centre. Much more creative and smart (footy wise). Something I think Siebold should consider. Much better fit imo.

    > Siosiua Taukeiaho <

I thought he played well. Particularly given this was his first major hit out in 2 years. He certainly has a strong presence about him that we have lacked over last few seasons. If he can stay fit he will be a major addition to our forwards this year.

    [Resurrected] Paseka

Taniela has progressed well over the last few years. Indispensable to our 17 and integral cog I think to us potentially winning a GF. He is not the Alpha beast some of us want him to be and he is certainly not the leader of our pack. Nor will he ever be (IMO). But still a massive part of our...

One has to go ... who ?

Because the issue we have is in the forwards....not the backs. The other option I see is Tolu going to 14 on the bench and Tommy Talau staying in the centres. Got to have both guys in the 17.

One has to go ... who ?

Just looking at the pics of our 2025 Season Launch on the Eagles website. There is one pic there of Haumole and Tommy Talau (and Simkins). Got to say TT is almost same size as Haumole. I could not help thinking (potentially) what a great backrow combination that might make. Also solves our...

    Trial V Panthers

Especially when you consider SOO ticket prices start at $49 ......at Accor Stadium!!!

    Trial V Panthers

$42 for one to sit on the hill and $180 odd for a family!!! Throw in a few pies and drinks and you are paying $250 to take your kids to a bloody trial game. Ridiculous pricing given the entire Penrith 1st grade side overseas. Not sure which genius at the Tigers made this decision but obviously...

    [Resurrected] Paseka

Good answer to this 5 year old mystery. He is either the longest maturing prop forward in rugba league history or what you seeing is what you are actually getting. I am not sure tbh but happy that he is signed and happy to have him in our 17 each week. He is definitely part of the answer.

    Trial V Wabbits

I was particularly interested in watching Chris Patolo in action on Saturday. Got to say somewhat underwhelming compared to what I was expecting. Limited minutes I know and he did nothing wrong but after watching the videos on the guy, I was certainly expecting more from him. On that...

    Jacob Arthur

I think you are a hard marker. Yes I remember the play and you are probably right. I also remember numerous occasions over the last few seasons where our highly experienced Australian and SOO halfback continually jumping out of our defensive line to open up a massive gaps for the opposition. If...

    Jacob Arthur

Surprised not a lot of commentary today on Jake Arthur. I thought he was close to my MOM. Set up a lot of our attacking raids and organised the team really well across the park. Also his defence has stepped up big time from last I saw him play. Thought he played the full 80 minutes also??

    The Luke Brooks Book Thread.

I think he was easily the buy of the season for us and agree that he has another gear there. I thought he was coming into his own towards the end of last season so will be interesting to see if he icks up where he left off. Amazing durability with 25 games in his 1st year with us. Gotta love...

    Club News 2025

Is Saaby missing from the 4Pines Renewal pic on the Eagles website?? I thought it was him at the back but pretty sure it's Navreen Willett.
