    Trial Games

Same. Particularly interested in Patolo. Quite impressive on some of the video shorts and big wraps from some of my Bulldogs friends but been hampered with injuries last two seasons. Fingers crossed for the guy but could solve a few issues in our forwards this year with a strong showing. With...

    DCE to announce retierment

Actually I think that's when our premiership window opens (26). Hopefully a new / younger spine and one or two more mobile forwards. Backline should hold almost as is with likely Turbo at centre and Lehi at FB. Whole different side and a real serious Premiership contender for a few years. Plenty...

Sea Eagles Elimination Game 2025 (pre-season forum game)

Got it. So we like 17 and don't like the other 13. Assuming we don't know the players personally, then can only rate like or dislike based on what we have seen on the football field or in the press. Still does not inspire confidence does it??.

Sea Eagles Elimination Game 2025 (pre-season forum game)

Interesting perspective here from us supporters. Says we don't rate 13 members of our 30 squad (8 eliminated and another 5 rated 3 or less). That says we don't have a lot confidence in the players beyond our 17. That's scary with a full season ahead of us!!

    DCE to announce retierment

I think a few of us supporters will probably have some continency issues should DCE retire this year!!!!

    [Resurrected] Lachlan Croker

Good post. And here is the single biggest challenge imo that stands between us and the title this year. Yes we certainly have one of the best attacking teams in the comp..... except for in and around that critical ruck area. This is where we loose our games. I love Croker's tenacity and...

    DCE to announce retierment

Not a surprise. Top of his game, end of his football career, no injuries, young family and great future career in media / NRL / Eagles. Crazy not to. I just hope there is a chance this year that he plays with the likes of Walsh, Onitoni, Zaidas etc. What an experience for these young guys to...

    Round 1 team prediction

I think Seibold is a big fan of Jazz. Not so sure about Simkin. If you go back to late last year when Croker came back from injury, everyone thought Simkin would drop down to 14. But that was not the case and Seibold opted for Gordie at 14 instead. So am not sure if Simkin gets a start in a few...

    [Resurrected] Lachlan Croker

I liked the way Jazz Tevaga played recently against the Poms....at hooker. While Croker is out he will likely start at 9 with bench backup from Gordie / Simkin. With Croker back, I think he will be our 14 as he can also cover lock. Seibold obviously likes him also. “Jazz has played in finals...

    The Manly Way

Depends on how quickly young Walsh and Onitoni step up to the plate. Remember it was about this time last year we all watched a very young Lehi Hopoate debut in the trials and by end of the season he was a sensation at NRL. It would not surprise me to see both these kids shine through in a few...

    The Silvertail's optimism pulse 2025.

Good post @Dion. I am hoping Taukehaio steps up as that dominant middle we have been desperately missing since Addin / Tapau days. Also hoping Simkin / Croker / Tevaga strike up a strong partnership for that 9 position. Love to see young Patolo compete with Ben T for that edge position. Also...

    Tolu try

Try of the season for mine. Semi final, loosing the game with minutes to go, he then wins the game for us. Brilliant try. This kid is only going to get better. Just needs the coaching to go with him with smarter plays, game plans. We just need one or two per game!!!!

    Wayne Cousins ( Media Manager)

I am not privy to the specific role here but more to the generic role. With the wealth of multi media tools available these days to most marketing and promotions people, it means you can get out to more people and more specifically targeted demographics much quicker and much better. So for...

    Wayne Cousins ( Media Manager)

Not at all. You will find the old JD for Wayne is significantly different to the new JD for Chris Warren. Horse and cart v motor vehicle. Wayne's old job (as defined by it's JD and Job Goals) no longer exists. The old Wayne role is well and truly redundant.

The game has moved on from me and a lot of people from my generation

I agree @Bearfax. I was actually there that day as a young kid. Biggest boilover I have ever witnessed in sport. No-one expected the Tigers to win.... including the Tigers fans. The Souths forwards were a deadly machine that year ++ with the likes of Sattler, O'Neal, Coote, McCarthy, Sait...

The game has moved on from me and a lot of people from my generation

@mickqld I thought you were talking about 1969. There were really only three teams in it that year (Saints, South and Wests). However despite this the mighty Balmain Tigers won the comp that year in a boilover. Re tribalism and passion....plenty of this in my family today and we are spread...

    The Silvertail's optimism pulse 2025.

Definitely a possible in 25. Probably a probable. We have had some good buys with solid experience and some outstanding youth which combined I think will complement the team this year nicely. We just need some luck with injuries and some smart(er) / gutsier decisions with coaching and individual...

    [Resurrected] Ezra Mam

The more disturbing aspect for mine was the almost non existent "sentence" handed down by the local Magistrate. This guy is supposed to reflect community values. Instead it wreaks of reverse racism..

    [Resurrected] Gordon Chan Kum Tong

I like Gordie and I would have him as my 14. I like his passing and running game however the pre-condition for selection in 1sts would be a real improvement in his tackling technique. I think this lets him down and I would be insisting he goes low every time and not worry about trying to wrap up...

    We were blessed at centre

What an incredible list. If I had to pick my best 2 starting centres of all time I would have to go Jamie and Snoz. These guys seemed to glide over the park with feet barely touching the ground. Bozo best at 5/8 for mine.
