Considering Knights have just paid similar for Mooney who isn’t even an established 1st grader I don’t think it’s a bad deal.

    [Resurrected] Zach Dockar-Clay

We have 2 young guys that could be a chance of first grade over the next few years. Doesn’t hurt to have an older experienced player as a back up until they are ready IMO. With GCKT & Croker gone we need a few body’s in the top 30 on cheap deals

    [Resurrected] Zach Dockar-Clay

Apparently we are trying to bring him back on a 2 year deal More news on Manly but this time it's more positive. They are moving swiftly on from Jake Turpin's rejection - offering Roosters utility Zach Dockar-Clay a two-year deal to join the club. The signing is to replace Jazz Tevaga who...

You are 100% right mate & I commend you trying to take the high road. These few flops are just in damage control after seeing yet another far left assassination/assassination attempt coming from the same people that are apparently against gun violence… 2 kids will now grow up without a father...

How have you worked that out? Of course he wasn’t on $850k for 6 seasons, the money went up gradually every season

    The Realistic Cleanout

Everyone knows what a back ended contract is but it seems you have missed the memo on them being banned in 2018. Take a read mate, seems you are the one that needs to look into it… In the NRL, a "back-ended contract" is one where a player is paid a significantly lower salary in the early years...

    The Realistic Cleanout

When was he on unders? Isaah Yeo is the best lock in the game & has only been on $850k a year for the entire Penrith dynasty. Jake has made more than him every year since Hasler extended the brothers. $850k-$950k in his prime was fair value. Saying it was unders is deluded IMO.

    [Resurrected] Lachlan Croker

Someone on here said a mate of Lachlan Croker had told him at the last game of the year that retirement due to concussion would be happening before next year. (can’t remember who posted)

    Kobe Hetherington

There’s plenty of reasons: 1. Hetherington saying he can do a job in the back row doesn’t mean that’s his best position. I’m sure Bullemor would also say he can do a job but they are both much more effective in the middle. 2. Broncos clearly didn’t see him as a back row option as they used 5+...

Hetherington is not a back rower.

Wow look at that, we have cap space & a player signs 😮. There goes the narrative that no one wanted to join because we are a disaster with a coach no one wants to play for…

Nah I wouldn’t say that. Onitoni Large will most likely start his career at centre & will be the replacement until Fogarty leaves & opens a position in the half’s

I feel like it would make sense for Albert Hopoate to come back & replace Tommy

    2026 recruitment & retention

Tigers & Bulldogs were in a lot worse shape when they brought in the likes of Burton, Kikau, Luai, May etc. If you got the money players will come.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

That first 10 minutes summarised DCE’s time at manly perfectly. A dumb error you wouldn’t expect a under 13’s kid to make followed up by a beautiful 40/20 to set a try up

    2026 recruitment & retention

Panthers recruitment of Tom Ale & Crosby is a telling sign they don’t think they can keep both Liam Henry & Lindsay Smith IMO. Both available for 27

    Garrick general news thread

I don’t necessarily think there is a problem with players not wanting to stay. Apart from DCE who has been inconsistent at best this year the other players that will move on is purely down to $$$. The guys we want to build around for the next few seasons like Koula, Bullemor, Schmole, Hoppa...
