    I remember when we had a really good defensive centre. Red-headed fella, and a local junior as well. Much maligned on ST, for his apparent lack of attacking prowess. Can't win them all, as they say.

    He would be a SOO rep by now if he stayed on the wing. The move to centre has hampered his standing around rep duties imo. Wing is such an important position these days and I cant quite understand why everyone seems so willing to see wingers as expendable/easily replacable.

    A bizarre move? Maybe. Any choices Madge has made have ultimately led to success with the Kiwis, NSW, and now the Broncos. So, with hindsight, yeah he made the smart move.
