    Post-Game Discussion Manly V Chooks [Round 22, 2025]

Quite glad when that game ended. My lady hit the nail on the head when she said Manly were woeful and she felt rather offended by it. We honestly played like we had no idea, hopefully we can jag a win or two in the run to Mad Monday.

Egrets, I've had a few...(musings and some pics)

Surely this makes him like it even more? Only death will prise that mug from his grasp....

    Garrick

I will be personally very sorry to see The Rubes leave, but from his point of view taking the Perth money is a good move. He is also a great pick up for them as essentially he provides cover against any recruiting problems at FB, WI or CE, he can cover all of them. I can admit the sense of it.

    MVP: Rd 21 v Bulldogs

What a disappointing loss. I thought: 3 Lodge. He was strong for us, full credit. 2 Jake. Did what he does. I don't know how rare it is, but we are lucky to have a real 80 minute middle playing given our awful injury run. 1 GCKT encouragement award. Did his best to be a point of real...

    The Haumole Bible.

We have a lot of money invested in Ola'k. To play him with an expectation of 90% chance of re-injury, that is in every way madness. I agree with everyone else on this.

    Des Hasler retiring

You know you must have lost the dressing room if they would rather head for the showers than listen to you and have a cold drink!

    Siosiua Taukeiaho

Tbh I imagine we lose TKO next year unless we upgrade him. He's shown enough to demonstrate he is still a real NRL player, and reliable experienced props are in demand. If Aloiai is forced to retire - and updates on him seem to have gone pretty quiet - I imagine we upgrade TKO.

    MVP: Rd 20 v Storm

Probably every man who played deserved points. I came up with: Taukeiaho - was huge for us out there. Brooks - thought he had a very influential game sweet pass to put Koula into space for a try. Quack Quack Waddell - I don't think he likes playing 2nd row nor would we normally play him...

    Boxing

This suggests Tszyu's career might be over, three successive losses and the last two quite conclusive. Otherwise maybe he needs to consider moving to a different weight. The top fighters at his current weight look to be a bit too much for him physically.

Last 8 Games - My Predictions

My guess is we win 2 or 3 of the next 8. But winning only 1 a distinct possibility. Tiggies v Titans this weekend is SpoonBowl, the loser will go on to collect.

Rugby League 26: Every NRL player’s rating

Straight up, I only paid attention to Manly, and I reckon someone was drinking bongwater when they compiled those scores.

    State of Origin, 2025.

They are now completely committed to Manly and our Premiership pursuit for the rest of the season mate, they'll be there!

Not sure if I am just getting older or something but I thought last night's game was a bit unengaging, just wasn't very exciting given it was a SOO decider. Blues played mostly horribly I thought and Queensland very clearly the better team. Kudos to Slater, he made big decisions and they worked.

    Tigers sign Feledy

According to Wikipedia (apply grains of salt according to taste) he is 5'11 and 95kgs.

    Will Croker be back?

I think when you start getting concussed in the relatively controlled training environment, that must be a bad thing. He had that troubling problem last year, lingering balance and numbness problems if I remember? I like Froggy and I worry about him. I think it is time to move away from...

    Pre-Game Manly V Souths [Round 18, 2025]

Games against us are the ones Keppie cicles on the calendar each year, not a single doubt.

    Tallyn Da Silva

Realistically as long as our team form is Jekyll and Hyde (recent emphasis more on Hyde); we have no other new signings who look likely to improve our strengths; and the most we can say about our coach is apparently "Seibs is a great guy and he's safe....for at least the next two games", we can...

The Gordon Can Tan Go .. poll & Predictions

If we end up missing Da Silva, Croker retiring, and Simpkin our primary hooker next year, then we are going to need an injury cover / back up. GCKT might have some importance for us yet.

The kid is definitely a work in progress with some promise. He is at the start of his journey and his career. Last night he showed a couple of mistakes but his late try was a good reply. But I do not accept he is some sort of visible star of the future, regardless of what kind of hot air is...
