    [Resurrected] David Williams

I recall him starring in a short film as a literal Wolfman - so he didn't shy from that!

    [Resurrected] David Williams

Interesting quote though in this - Having played in a Grand Final winning team, he was also asked about how the team maintained standards for playing at their peak. “Calling bull****. We weren’t the kind of people to shy away from telling people if they’re screwing up. “We had a level of...

I liked him but it is hard to forget his howler (pun intended) from the 2013 GF

Luke Brooks - the plate is hot

I knew he would miss the FG. Has he ever delivered a clutch play?

    Clayton Faulalo

Real mixed bag tonight. Good break and defended well first half. But failed to contest high balls and missed tackles second.

    Post-Game Discussion Knights V Manly [Round 14, 2025]

Just watched the presser - Siebold looked lost and just trotted out his "stay positive" cliches, tepid analysis and excuses. I want him to be ropeable - in the way a Bellamy or a Stuart would be if their team failed to take the chances we did in the first and squandered the lead in the second...

    Burbo

Frankly it's hard to see how. No I don't want Waddell in the centres - and I don't even want him on the bench!

Maybe worse than the Eels game ??

I was actually disappointed in the first half. Our execution was terrible and we should have been up by 20 to 30. DCE kicking on the third was abominable when we should have been grinding them into the dirt, getting some restarts if need be - but he's never been that guy.

    Burbo

Please can this be the last time Burbo is put in the centres even as a stopgap? Bullemor has some leg speed - why not him? I know he's a middle but seriously how often can Burbo be burned? How about Haumole? Or Navale if you picked him instead of Waddle?

    Post-Game Discussion Knights V Manly [Round 14, 2025]

I am going to ask - just how injured was Turbo? Did we keep him in cotton wool because we were playing the Knights? There are no giveme games in the NRL - if he is our best FB he should have been playing. We cannot pay a million a year for someone to sit in the box. Yes perhaps he would have...

    The Daly Cherrygraph

I knew he would miss the FG. He has not made a clutch play in 15 seasons. He also was exposed again defensively

Who abducted the team from the 1st half ??

From my memory we did not put a grubber in goal to get a restart. Why the **** not? They thought - DCE in particular - they could showboat to a win

Who abducted the team from the 1st half ??

I was not impressed by our first half - we should have been up ty 20 to 30 considering how bad the Knights were. And DCE kicking on the third for a trick shot when we should have been bashing over the line again was abominable

The Jurbo Journal - (just a really nice Jake thread)

That probably is what will happen but as many have noted that did not go very well against the real heavyweights. In my view if Walker stays he should play the position that almost inexplicably he hasn't since being picked as the Dally M player in that role - centre. The other centre role is...

The Jurbo Journal - (just a really nice Jake thread)

Jake is perplexing. Manly through-and-through, a team leader, defensive workhorse... but lacks the impact forward packs need in the modern game. I wonder if the same would be true of Glenn Stewart now? But Glenn played in sides with the relentless Anthony Watmough and in our premiership sides...

Penrith v Souths. [Grand final, 2021]

One other little regret just quietly - how we could do with still having Api (even if you'd have to say he isn't in an Api marriage). As much as Croker did a servicable job for us this year when you look at the top three sides - Penrith, Souths and Storm - they all have running threats from...

Penrith v Souths. [Grand final, 2021]

I kept thinking through that game that there is no way our side could have matched the intensity and control those teams played with for 80 minutes. We would have dropped the ball twice as much as both those sides did in total. I love our team's entertainment value but I trust Des to add steel...
