2019 Ladder Predictions (and why)

GO Manly
My 2019 ladder predictions (end of normal rounds)

  1. Roosters - should still have the desire to attempt the back to back
  2. Souths - will have grown under Bennett with some exciting young talent
  3. Penrith - my only contentious top 4 pick - could be rocks or diamonds
  4. St George - big forward pack and a class backline but still needs to ditch choking
  5. Manly - arguably the best forward pack and a top 5 spine - centres will be fine
  6. Cronulla - Johnson to add more attacking options
  7. Newcastle - Ponga to continue his rise as an elite player. Plenty of go forward.
  8. Broncos - will struggle, Siebold will not be the new messiah.
  9. Melbourne - too much for scam this time - missing class of Slater
  10. West’s - still building but lack of elite players
  11. Gold Coast - May surprise with a higher finish but a good all round team
  12. Parramatta - will be a better year but the end of the line for Arthur
  13. Raiders - 2 words - Ricky Stuart
  14. Warriors - no Johnson and seemingly struggling coach
  15. Bulldogs - lack a lot key players
  16. Cowboys - Couldn’t cut it last year with JT, coaching issues for me
