So Froggy is in the 29, must say I’m surprised about that!!

And I’ve not seen or heard anything about Kioa, can someone on the know fill in??

Also Jade Anderson couldn’t be picked , unless he moves into 30th spot or Greenslime gives special dispensation for the Walker outing.

Thanks @Wheel - good info to know. Where was that published ?? So Croker get an upgrade from development contract to replace Kell. Didn't Guacamole have a development contract too ??

There was an article with him on the MWSE website a while back. Outside back from memory

Squad members on the rise so far - Cust, Garrick.
Hopefully soon also Waddell, Funa, and young Hoppa (will need a nickname though).
Plenty to keep us interested as the season rolls on.

So last year we had 2 halves and now we have 6 including Metcalfe.Plus Fainu is an ex half so possibly 7 could play the position. Why would they bother with Croker with DCE Hodko Cust Elgey and Metcalf available later in year. Absolute waste

Surely Miski, Saunders, De Lui .. bloke who actually trialled well and would have been been a chance of being used. If Croker gets a run we a gone anyway with injuries. And we have lost two forwards for a while before a ball kicked.I know you’d have to bump a player up to minimum wage but surely that 29 are over the cap.

I hope Kioa is not last years Funa. Didnt trial , didn’t play first grade and didn’t train with first grade apparently lasy year yet was a top 30 pick. Seems to be a bloke no one knows much about.

Green arrow means new addition. They still count Hodko as a new signing.

As for Froggy, I can only think that salary cap pressure means we needed a bargain player in the squad, keeping any funds we have in reserve for a decent player that might become available. But I don’t know why you’d have him ahead of an outside back unless it is because he is earmarked as the third hooker for the squad.

Maybe they will be moved up to development ?

Don't forget Kane Elgey.

We'd have to be miles under the cap with this squad, surely. I'd say it's the lightest (talent wise) of any NRL club. Remove Walker from that list, too.

I WANT to say, we'd better pray for no injuries, but guess what - it's too late for that, and we may be relying on blokes like Parker to get us over the line.

Love to know his win / loss ratio with us. Have to be ordinary.

Good luck Des. I sense people are expecting lots from you mate.

Lack - of - options mate.
We just don't have the cattle available.
We are rebuilding, so aren't place players want to be at present.

We attained 0 first grade talent this off season. Elgey was the closest, but he was sent to reserve grader in The Gold Coast, and even then, Hodkinson of all players may beat him out.

My other concern about Elgey is he doesn't appear to be a Des signing, nor a Des style of player really.
We'll see if we get any value out of him, I do hope so as he was a rising gun half before injury struck.

Nope. No arrow next to Elgey

That's actually not the case mate. He was dropped by his coach over defensive lapses and issues.

He was supposed to remain in Reggie's, but injury gave him another chance back in the team.

They then decided to not re-sign him, and he was told he could seek alternatives.

Rising gun is a bit too much.
