Are we being prepared for some Penn humble pie eating?

Barrett's meeting with the front office a month or so ago after a heart to heart with Gould.

Explained away as Barrett requesting more support personnel and assistance, as per stipulations in his contract, with the club appearing to make token attempts to satisfy the claim.

(no new personnel updates, assistance or additions that I am aware of until now)

2 weeks later Cliffy and Tooves announced as junior coaching team.

Now incessant rumouring that Barrett is going to the Panthers which Gould vehemently denies, of course.
(I wouldn't trust Gould as far as I could kick his bank book)

Our football manager moving on this week.

Was some decision arrived at before Barrett's front office meeting amid probably the worst results period in our history?

Is he moving on at the end of the season?

Are Cliffy/Tooves taking over the FG coaching role in 2019?

Wishful thinking... the impossible dream.. or Penn finally realising he fukked up and wants to make some money?

These 2 legends would do it, Penn only needs to ask really nicely, and the baby steps of that may appear to have been made..

Parr has been there a long time and has been in charrge of some poor culture and some good. That at least makes him qualified. The mitchell seargent drug night was a big night in any clubs culture if the rumours up north were anything to go by with some carpet sweeping of the highest order

Not sure , but when kelly egan came to manly from the cows i heard he was made scapegoat for the football department losing a fair bit of the players gear on game day or the day before while flying. Kelly was allegedly upset as he thought someone else should at least carry the blame. Only brought it up as i may be relevent cnsidering some of the other accusations

As for 2019 and our hopes ? that depends entirely on whether you have drunk the Kool-Aid or not. Halfway through 2017 I was willing to concede that we were headed on the right trajectory and maybe team Penn had a plan in place, contrary to my initial fears. Now 12 months later we are back to square one and looking like a rabble on and off the field I hope that Gorman is the magician everyone is painting him to be.

How would Tooves/Cliffy do it?

It is obvious from Lussicks interview that this have not changed and the coach is not given freedom and there is too much head office interference.

Only a coach trying to get some runs on the board would bother coming here whilst that continues

I know Ivan Cleary is contracted to Wests until the end of 2020, but I've read somewhere before that he has always wanted to return to the Sea Eagles nest. Despite being sacked by Gould, I personally think he's a competent and sensible coach and wonder if there is a chance that he could break his contract and head to the northern beaches next year.
