2022 NRL Rule changes

Also, while were at it, knock on's, how about only a knock on if the ball touches the ground going forward. Not little bobbles into opposing players, if you regather the ball all good and well.

Yep.The interpretations of the rules have become too pedantic.
Also in the play-the-ball. As long as the player makes an attempt to play the ball, and the ball doesn't go forward or is knocked on then let the play continue.
The Bunker has changed the game by replaying things in slow motion. All action should be played in real time. If our eyes can't pick up an imperfection then it didn't happen!

Exactly, to much nit picking by the refs in our game, we are in danger of becoming like Union.

Can't go with that one, but I do hate it that they treat every dropped ball a knock on

Why just introduce it at full time? What about as half-time sounds?
It's a NO from me.
While I liked the idea, it’s also a no for me on the point I made in my previous post, and to answer your question/s, 1) the potential opportunity to control the outcome of a game, 2) half time was not in the thought process as it has little to no bearing on the final outcome.
Probably a poor oversight in the admins proposal, if the actual proposal was to reduce the spoiling tactics at the end of games then by shear logic, it should also apply to the halftime break, but hey on the surface of things it’s only the end result they seem to be interested in being able to interfere with.

The rule I do not like is the one on one strip after one or two tacklers have dropped off. If the strip is unsuccessful, it should be a six again.
I actually preferred it when it was called a penalty if there was more than one tackler at any stage. In an era of gang tackles, ball carriers have got enough to worry about without having to worry about a synchronised release by one or more dickheads so another dickhead can take the ball off them.

If they are not careful, the NRL will turn the game into a similar situation as Rugby Union, where they’ve basically lost 60% of their fans, even past international players.

Leave the game alone please, you’ve already done enough to stuff it up.

Referees are human and just like players, they all make mistakes. As long as it’s fair and equal, that’s okay, I can live with that.

Please no. The rugby test between Australia and England was ruined by brain dead rugby rules.

In regards to the NRL’s reaction to the Ben Hunt/Raiders event.
And now wanting to play out the set after the siren, next year.
James Graham said the NRL’s come up with a solution when there wasn’t any problem.

He says give a penalty in that situation, if need be.

Since they introduced the 6 again rule they've had to change any ruck infringements inside a team's 40 metre line to a penalty because coaches were happy to keep giving away 6 agains inside the opposition 40.

Now they want to bring in this rule to address another cynical tactic coaches have come up with around the 6 again rule.

How about they just bin the 6 again rule & police the ruck area properly & consistently?

For every new rule they bring in, coaches will ultimately find a way to bend it, thus creating a situation where more new rules are brought in to combat the original bending.....and around and around we go....

Just stop bringing in new rules. Simple.
