2026 recruitment & retention

Tino not a dream, our marquee players are DCE (moving on), Jake has some cap relief as long serving player, Turbo and Oka. 2027 Jake and turbo on reduced deals and a big signing can happen
We should have space for 2 marquee players in 2027. Tommy will be on $700k, Jake on $450k and Garrick to $500k so that’s a saving of $1.1M. DCE being replaced by Forarty is a $400k saving. JA medical retirement $500k, Croker $350 moved on. Thats $2.35Million just there.

We could easily offer Tino $1.1m per year along with the captaincy. Still leaves us $1.25m to balance the rest of the squad.

For once we will be in a great position salary cap wise. Just have to wait another 2 seasons.

Beauty, he looks like a Saab turbo in da forwards just what we need. Also don't judge people yet, look at Payne Haas totally different to his Mum. Ola and Peseka has got another brother from a different mother. CMon Manly

Last year plenty said DCE would have to take $650. Etc.

I have zero confidence the AT MANLY features in the trbo want to win a premiership.

They could easily move to an NRL rival with $$$$$

I highly doubt the bothers would land at another NRL club. If not at Manly they would go to the super league. Both feel in dept to the club as they have had the big payday.

They also know if they are any chance of winning a premiership they both can’t be on big money.

Manly might be a chance if the brothers do. Time will tell. Managers get involved. But when I hear they have such love for the club, well last negotiation time it took overs to keep both.

DCE, hasn't appreciated give and take, the Fainu's haven't. Let's hope the Turbos are built differently, but the only evidence on display in the last decade is money talks. That has included the turbo boys too.

Okay by “ decent “ you mean “ established “, Perth have taken Meninga, you’d imagine PNG might go for Bennett , so in your opinion who would be the “ decent “ target ???

The Anti Seibold Crew (ASC) have gone pretty quiet over the past few weeks. I fear for their health if the next few weeks games go to as expected.

I don't blame the boys for taking better deals. This is a small window in their lives and they won't ever receive this type of money again. I could see them at Perth, etc for sure. Good on them.

Anyone that hasn't taken a big city team like the Broncos towards a wooden spoon will do Mark.
Just accept that you accept mediocrity, we can agree to disagree on this note.
No , I’m interested in who you think that’s “ decent “ that might be available, “ anyone “ isn’t a realistic answer.

Josh Hannay hot favourite to take over Hasler so count him out.

Billy Slater signed long term to QLD.

This has nothing to do with what my opinion is, that’s irrelevant to this discussion, it’s who you are going to sign after you sack the current coach.
